Current Updates

-- Disaster of Town!!!--
Due to heavy freak rainfall the town has undergone a severe flooding that none were ready for. Many casualties were suffered though it seems the properties suffered little to no damage that was irreparable. Time is of the essence for the ranches to recuperate from such a tragic loss, though we shall strive to move forward and keep things as they were before.

[ ]Forrester's park
A large green field pitted with areas meant to work horses away from home. Here is where to come to practice or simply relax with your equine friend, maybe even to make a few new human friends in the process.

A limited access facility owned by the town yet made regular access to the doctors and any possible horses they may be working with. Ranch owners may bring their horses here for leisure but only when not in use. The facilities include many different exercise and practice areas for the horse and their owner.

[ ]Mertle Court (3 sub-boards)
Mertle Court is a long, tranquil length of road designated to all the doctors that work at Walnut Medical. Each property is large yet more residential than those of the ranch properties surrounding the towns outskirts.

[ ]Horseshoe Tavern
So the name might make a person think up a bar, but this is not totally a bar, it also serves delicious burgers. Think of it as a bar and grill. It has the homey kind of feeling with it, as if it belongs with all the ranches. There are pictures of horses and cowboys hanging all around, country music playing. The bartender is friendly enough, and he serves the food within time. You can only bring kids in here before 9 pm, after that, the drunks come out to stalk the night. There is a section just for families with a little barrier to keep those that are actually drunk out. You have to be twenty-one to drink.

[ ]Memorial Park
No, this is not a park like the name says. It is a graveyard, in which humans are laid to rest, and only humans. There are many tombstones around this place, dating back to the early 1900's. Teenagers like to crash this place in the middle of the night, not knowing what they will find. It has been the site of frequent parties before the police crash them. Can't they just let the dead rest?

[ ]Heavenly Plaza
No, this is not a shopping center, but a horse graveyard in which, if wanted, owners can bury their prized horses here and know that they are safe. They can also store their ashes here if they would like to, if they are to be cremated. This place is surrounded by a forest on the North and East side, giving it more of a haunted appearance, which is why it is not the scene of major bashes like Memorial Park.

[ ]Employment Office
The ranches all have a need for workers to care for their precious land, and of course there are those unemployed looking for work. Here, you will find a sign up board set strictly to give the unemployed the chance to apply for work at a particular ranch.

[ ]Whirlwind Pines Ranch (4 sub-boards)
A large plot of land measuring in 300 acres of good soil and perfect scenery for a successful equine plantation. There is a large green pasture meant simply for the leisure of all horses on the land and quite a few small paddocks for training and wrangling. A stable can be found as well as a large farm house and a ran down old servants quarters house in which the owner still is unsure of what to replace with.

[ ]Maplewood Stables
A peaceful river flows behind many wide and long green pastures. Maple and other hardwood trees border the property and along the banks of the river. A large two-story home sits atop a slight hill, overlooking a maple wood barn and the pastures. The barn is huge, with 40 box stalls, 20 on each side. Three cars sit in the driveway, a huge dark blue pickup, a dark blue 2008 Mustang GT and an old hunter green 1966 Mustang hardtop. Three round pens are located near the barn for training horses, large rectangular and square pastures extend outward, all attaching to each other. A picturesque landscape, perfectly created for one purpose: taking care of equines

[ ]Double JJ Ranch
Sprawled over 550 acres of meadows and forests lays peacefully Double JJ Ranch. The gravel driveway leads the way to one of the main stables, the Stallion barn, where all those that are the pride of the ranch are kept. The second barn that you run into is the mare and foal barn, where peaceful nickers can be heard from the stalls. The third barn is the breeding and birthing barn, where mares are taken a few days before foaling, or, if the weather does not permit outdoor breeding, there is a small arena for it to occur. Surrounding the left side of the barns, where there are no paddocks or pastures is a forest full of lush greenery that have trails coursing through them to wherever you would like to go. Behind the forest is a wide meadow that pretty much takes up the rest of the land. A small driveway also leads to a log cabin that is hidden underneath the shade, where Andrea lives, and maybe a few of the employees. To the left of the stable, there are paddocks for the stallions, and pastures for the mares, foals, and geldings. By the house, though, there is one pasture that is used for weanlings so that they are not too close to their mothers. This stable is mainly used for breeding fine quality Quarter Horses and Paints.

This Ranch Offers:
~Live Cover Breeding
~Artificial Insemination
~Mare Care through pregnancy and foalhood up to 3 months
~Weaning
~Foal Training

[ ]Beaker Stables
Wood house with lots of land before it and a row of trees in the front by the road, a long driveway that splits one leads behind the small forest and into the stables and the other leads to the huge two story house. Sarah Beaker owner of house and stables has a house hired maid Mary Smith, who have an arrangement set up. To even meet Sarah most often you must meet Mary and talk to her before ever getting Sarah into thoughts of meeting you. The stables are red of course, with rows of stalls beside them and a hall that leads to a seperate small building that has the tack and food. There are several pastures the small immediate one and the larger one where horses rest. There are two others farther away for breeding and relaxing when injured.

[ ]Valley View Ranch
Built in the early 1900's Valley View is , as its name suggests, set on the top of a large valley over looking a river. A huge old barn that towers over the rest of the buildings is sitting behind an old 3 story ranch house. The house, with blue shutters and white siding, has 7 bedrooms (mainly used for storage) and 2 bathrooms. There are several paddocks around the terrain and 4 separately fenced pastures each with over 100 acres. A large outdoor arena sits a mile down the valley and part of the barn serves as a makeshift indoor arena. Everything is a bit out-dated and there are several old buildings that serve no purpose at the moment. Tevin bought it cheap from a retired , and extremely crabby, old farmer who was moving to a smaller place with more flat farming land. As soon as Tevin gets the place fixed up he is going to breed, sell, train, and wrangle horses.

Trails
[ ]Whitewashed Rapids
The fast-flowing river is the direction in which the trail follows down to a calm pond. The water splashes up against the craggy rocks that jut out of the bottom of the river, spooking the horses sometimes. There are slow moments when the river flows lazily. There are trees banking the right side of the river so that there is no escape to turn around besides stopping. This is a good place to just let a horse go free, but watch out for holes that are in the ground, as they can injure a horse. It is not recommended that you cross the river to the other side, where another trail is, but go the whole length on one side, circle around the pond that the river dumps into, and then follow that trail up.

[ ]Multi-cherished Meadow
This meadow is vast, full of wildflowers that stick up on small sticks and sway stiffly in the breeze. There is no protection from the sun here, no trees or such to give a rest in the shade, so it is not recommended to come here on especially warm days. But, this is the place to let a horse's spirit fly, to let them run at whatever speed they wish for there are really no dangers around to harm a horse. It is a good place to race friends and maybe have a trail ride picnic. The flowers are delicious to horses. The meadow creep up small hills that grow in height very slowly, not like a mountain of sorts. There is no water here either, the flowers get their water from the rain, so during the summer, it can be pretty dry.

[ ]Blessed Valley
A great green atmosphere touched with the tenderest of daisies and hidden well by a thick forest that surrounds the entire landscape it is still a trail that humans and their equine ride through not to seek those to wrangle but to witness something beyond a miracle. Here is where all wild mares come to birth their foals in the silence and protection of the great wood, sires of the foals tend to follow so it is advised that any onlookers keep their distance.

Wildcat Valley
[ ]Wrangler's Plains
A wide expanse of simple green grass that rarely sees the fall of thick snow in the winter. Wild horses run rampant here and are free to do as they will, but be warned...the chance of capture by humans here is high.

(If you have a horse that you definitely want to be captured start a thread in here.)

[ ]Bobcat Ridge (2 sub-boards)
A rocky point where most dare not go alone. Many rocky mountain goats can be seen here and few wild horses ever venture here unless desperate for the nutritious green grass that grows here. Wrangling and capturing of wild horses is prohibited in this area.

Iris Gorge
[ ]The Dirty Dozen
A wild arrangement of stone pillars encircle this small valley, a rather quaint spot for equine to find Sound Point's most satisfying and delicious plant life. Beware, with the wonderful heaven given items there is also the high risk of capture here.

Lake Symphony
[ ]Billows Stream
Quiet, symphonic, as its mother the lake intended, Billows stream is a great place for human and horse alike to simply bask in the gentle trickle of the cool running waters heading far away from here. The only place near the lake in which capture is allowed, so beware all wild horses.

[ ]Iridescent Glen (2 sub-boards)
One of the most beautiful places here near to Sound Pointe, a wondrous waterfall dancing down to a fair glen that is frequented by wild horses nearly all the time. Capture is prohibited here but many can view the wild equine in their natural habitats.
